1. Posture: The positioning of the different body parts relative to one another. Good posture is achieved by vertically aligning the different "blocks of weight" of the body (head, shoulders, abdomen, and hips), allowing for the natural curve of the spine with minimal distortions.

 

2. Pitch: The inclination of the body forward or backward.

 

3. Poise: The pitch of the body and placement of the body weight relative to the feet.

 

4. Balance: The correct distribution of body weight between the feet or over the standing foot.
