Break and Cuban Motion

 

 

Direction of Movement | CBM and CBMP | Vaious Positions in Dancing | Movement

1. Break: A unit of two steps where the second step is taken in exactly the opposite direction from the first.

 

2. Open Brake: Break or Rock Step taken in Open-Facing position, often with partners moving in opposition.

 

3. Cuban Motion: The rotation of the hips around the spine achieved by the alternate bending and straightening of the knees. Specific to American Style Rhythm dancing.
